We offer onsite inspection to ensure that large components and assemblies are built within design specifications. This has always presented manufacturing and quality with difficult choices.
Do you move the component to an inspection facility equipped with a large CMM and incur the costs, risks and delays associated with this, or do you inspect them using the same machine that manufactured the parts and risk repeating any error within the machine? Or do you resort to the use of optical equipment such as transits and levels that offers an entirely different set of variables.
Contract Measurement Services LLC, is able to resolve all of these issues by offering the very latest in onsite metrology technologies.
As a sub contract service you only pay when our services are needed. Our Laser Tracker service allows us to provide onsite inspection of components and assemblies of up to 230 feet in a single set-up with accuracies that surpass even the best static CMM machines. Using our sophisticated software, we are able to perform multiple setups on the same part to capture every detail and reference this to a single datum feature. We can even provide the data as a comparison to the original nominal CAD model if required.
