Reverse Engineering
Reverse Engineering is the process of taking measurements of an existing part, tool, master model or assembly and then creating an exact solid model or surface replica in a CAD program. The piece is intricately measured using our portable contact and non-contact equipment, and a CAD model that reflects the original design of the object is then created.
Reverse Engineering can be extremely useful when you have a part or object, but do not have the original prints or design. In addition to the generation of the model from the existing object, Contract Measurement Services LLC can incorporate other information (customer specifications, industrial standards, information from existing prints, etc.) to provide a complete CAD model and drawings if required.
Alignment
Contract Measurement Services LLC. offers laser tracker alignment services for any application or process requiring accurate 3-Dimensional measurement. We can inspect your equipment and perform the measurement portion of an alignment or we can complete the project turnkey. Each project is followed by a comprehensive report either in hard copy or electronic format, depicting the 3-D model of the machine and the alignment conditions of the affected components.

Contract Measurement Services Inc. supports our customers to develop the designs of and final analysis for the following types of products and services:

Dimensional Inspection
Contract Measurement Services LLC experienced personnel use the latest hardware and software available for both contact and non-contact measurement to perform dimensional inspection, on the customer's parts.
Through the scanning of a physical part, 3D scan data is compared directly with the nominal CAD model or engineering drawing to verify that the finished part or tooling conforms to the original design intent.
Since it is a much slower process, traditional touch-probe contact measurement is usually used when only certain (prismatic) features or locations of a part need to be dimensionally inspected to a tight tolerance, such as close tolerance holes and intricate features.
A broad range of parts of all sizes, from small, intricate objects to large aerospace tooling, oilfield equipment, large machined parts, boat hulls or automotive vehicles, are within our scanning capabilities.
